in this episode while on camp duty the cops show up and give us the boot once again. These are the tactics that the Phoenix PD are now using against the homeless people. Are they being fair or is the city's want for tax revenue driving the cops to be to agressive?

Whether you live in a small town or a big city, there are homeless people living in your community. They may not be visible all the time, but they are there. On a recent trip to Phoenix, Arizona I met Mark. He is 22 years old, lost his job four months ago, and has been on the streets ever since. Marks one and only wish is to find a job. Special thanks to the Phoenix Rescue Mission for the hospitality. ________________________________________________ Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/c/invisiblepeople?sub_confirmation=1 Invisible People’s website: http://invisiblepeople.tv Support Invisible People: https://invisiblepeople.tv/donate On Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/invisiblepeople Invisible People’s Social Media: https://www.youtube.com/invisiblepeople https://twitter.c...

Niya has been homeless since 11 years-old. I cannot even imagine all the pain and suffering this wonderful woman has experienced growing up on the streets and in the system. I met Niya living behind a fence with several other women near a major street in Phoenix, Arizona. Niya says she wants to be homeless because of her addiction, but no one wants to live without adequate housing. She has just 'conditioned' herself to street life. In a way, the streets of Phoenix have become her family! Niya is a smart woman with a good heart. It's simply a miracle that she can stay positive given the life she has lived. Miya knows what she has to do. She knows she must get off the drugs. But getting off drugs is not that easy when the chance of her finding living wage employment is nearly impossible....

Second Chance Saturday is YOUR chance to help others! Let's help our homeless neighbors get back on their feet by coming together and pooling our resources in a collaborative effort EVERY SECOND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH! When we all get together, we can do greater things. We call these gatherings Kindness Co-Ops! A Kindness Co-Op is a loosely organized collective of individuals and organizations who are getting together to provide services and supplies to our local homeless friends. Anything you can provide is welcome. We already have a hair care station, a food station, a free street story donation station, and a hydration station. We would LOVE for you and your family, your church, your charity, your company, or just yourself to come on down and join us. We are always looking for peopl...
Our group, Touching Hearts for the past 3 years handed out bagged lunches, personal hygiene items, clothes, water, shoes, socks to the homeless of Phoenix, AZ. Along the way, we have met some remarkable people who live on the streets, but who at times seem more content than we who have big homes and every toy in the world. It has been a awesome journey and now we plan to work with I HELP out of Chandler, AZ. This group works with folks who are working to get off the streets. We will be serving a dinner once a month to 25 individuals and hope to find this just as rewarding!!!

Feeding over 700 people is an enormous task and a milestone for the CASS homeless shelter and the Human Services Campus in Phoenix. Every Friday an organization volunteers to feed the homeless for a Friday BBQ. This week, celebrity chef Chef Ron Young of Food Vision Meals is tackling the challenge. For more info: CASSAZ.org
Dozens of veterans have been living on the land since last summer. However, ADOT officials say they have to go because the land is state-owned.
The issue of homelessness touches all our lives – from public policy to our tax dollars, from our neighborhoods to our businesses. This video is from Part III in a special five-part series, Homeless In Plain Sight, in which KJZZ hopes to start a community conversation about the people, programs and potential solutions to homelessness in the Phoenix area. I had the opportunity to assume an assignment that required me to cover the homeless of Phoenix. For two days I interviewed and photographed some of the most interesting people I've ever met. My original approach to the article was to expose the differnt levels of service that various shelters and facilities provide; but, after my third interview, I realized that the story was not the facilities, but the people.
There are more than 5,000 homeless people in Maricopa County on any given day. Most of them are single men and women but there are an estimated 250 families on the streets or in shelters. More than a decade ago, Maricopa County partnered with Phoenix, St. Vincent de Paul, Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) and Lodestar Day Resource Center to create the Human Services Campus where people could find food, temporary housing and services such as healthcare. At the same time, prosecutors and public defenders were contemplating their role in the homeless problem. Attorneys and judges talk about the cycle. People commit a non-violent offense, don’t pay the fine, and then don’t show to court which leads to a warrant and then jail. Phoenix, Tempe and Glendale piloted the first Arizona Ho...
